About

Our Story

Art has been an integral part of my life from a youthful age. I am a sculptor who has worked in many areas of art until I learned of lignum vitae/iron wood. This special wood is the national flower of Jamaica and played an important role in history, not only as a medicinal plant, but also because it is durable enough to be used as the bearings of a ship. I only work with dry trees that have already died, so as not to cause any harm to the environment. From this material I create different forms of art work from abstract to realistic and self-portraits.

I use this skill to train and educate the troubled youths within our community. Making them employable and relevant to the community.
